THE ARCHITECTURE CENTRE, BRISTOL: SHAPE MY CITY'S FIRST LIVE-BUILD PROJECT SUMMER 2015

Shape my CIty is a youth participation project for 15 - 19 year olds; providing a great opportunity for them to get involved with industry professionals, connect with other young people across the city and develop design skills and knowledge that may help them in their career paths.

SHAPE MY CITY #livebuild was a summer collaboration with Bristol's Architecture Centre and the Shape My City participants, UWE and the Engineers without Borders members,  tangentfield, carpenter Brendan Pyke and natural builder Jo Forsyth to coordinate and support a real design-and-make project as part of the Shape my City programme. We worked with the Speedwell Asylum Seekers Allotment project, to provide a low impact straw, timber and earth shelter for the allotment holders and volunteers.
