SPONSORS' STRUCTURE - Faculty of Business and Law centre

The new Faculty of Business and Law building at University of the West of England is currently under construction, set for completion in December 2016.

The UWE Development Office are keen to progress a donor recognition programme to commemorate the generosity of support towards the development of the building.

Due to the scale of the project, donations have been significantly substantive. Sponsorship has initially varied from £1,000 to £500,000 and over. Donors range from individuals to large organisations, some wishing to remain anonymous.

Typically, UWE feel acknowledgement should take the form of recognition in the built environment. An internal feature wall has been allocated that could host a permanent installation, with the potential to form part of the building’s public art offering. The installation should aspire to cater for an evolving donor base.

The body of work formulates a design feasibility study for the realisation of the donor recognition installation. The proposal seeks to expand the client brief by exploring interaction and integration within the building as a whole, considering both the donor and the prospective donor at the heart of the design development.
